Query and Submission Guidelines 1.) A one-page summary of your manuscript. Write
your telephone number on top.
The following guidelines should always be used when submitting manuscripts to anyone. 1. Type or print your manuscript on plain white paper, double-spaced and left justified. Print only on one side of the paper and do not bind or staple your pages together. Submit them either loose in a ream box or paper-clipped together if a short story. Do not use special type faces. 2. No low-resolution dot matrix prints. If you use a laser printer or other form of high-resolution printer, we suggest you either use a monospaced font such as Monaco, or use a font at least 12 points in height. Identify italics by underlining and indicate boldface type by drawing a wavy line beneath the affected characters. The production people that publishers use require copies that are to be typeset to be marked in a specific way. 3. Always put your name and address on the manuscript. Also, your name, manuscript title and a page number should be on every page. Helpful Tip: When mailing your manuscripts anywhere, whether to us or to a publisher, remember that the Postal Service offers a Fourth Class Book and Manuscript rate. It takes a little longer, (about a week to seven days), but it could save you some money.
